Audio Visual and IT Field Service Engineer
Pacific are a Basingstoke-based IT and Audio Visual Solution Provider with a track record of great service and innovative approaches to business problems. The range of our services run from the provision of outsourced IT functions such as our IT Service Desk, to the design, installation and support of Audio Visual for themed attractions, via Corporate AV with boardroom fit-outs and video-conferencing, and Education environments with the latest learning tools. It’s all underpinned with our ISO9001-certified management systems, our participation in major purchasing frameworks, and our own, award-winning, system and service designs.
We now need to recruit an additional member of the Field Service team, looking after our customer's equipment, based in the North West. We already have field engineers in based in Scotland, the North West, and here at HQ in Basingstoke, and need another member of the team. You will be visiting our client sites to resolve issues with their digital signage, meeting room audio visual, and retail solutions. This may be replacing cabling, replacing parts, configuring systems, training users, or assisting with installation work. We also visit our customers regularly to check everything is working for them even when there is no problem reported - as the "face" of Pacific to many customers, it will be important to develop relationships with the regular customers in this role.
Our hours are Mon-Fri 0900-1730, with 1 hour for lunch and 23 days holiday. Our Service Delivery team schedule the field engineering the day before and make every effort to ensure the day is planned to meet the working schedule. Sometimes it will be necessary to work a longer day to achieve a target, or travel further afield, and if so, this is arranged beforehand with the team.
You will need a full driving license as you will be using one of our vans, be presentable, professional and friendly to our clients, be able to demonstrate a good understanding of technology, and have good practical skills (for mounting screens to walls, running cabling etc.).
In return you will be joining a good, friendly, team, with training on our usual products, and a chance to work with lots of interesting projects. If this sounds like a good opportunity for you, then please send in your CV!
