Consultancy, Design, and Project Management

Great coordination between the AV needs of a job and other related trades is essential to a project’s success, punctuality and affordability – especially when an audiovisual project is part of wider building works. Pacific’s team are experienced in working with construction contractors, providing the required documentation and integrating into various BIM and project management systems.

We also can provide consultancy early in a project to define user needs, before converting these into technical solutions and designs that can be used to obtain budgets. Pacific can offer free-of-charge consultancy and design as part of our pre-sales offering; in addition, we can also provide costed written designs that provide customers with a specification to compare prices and go out to competitive tender.

Deskside Support

When distributed organisations need AV support staff on hand for users, Pacific can provide ongoing, dedicated resources on site. We often provide this service to fill gaps for larger organisations – for example, in locations without AV support, such as regional offices or small campuses – or to fill contract gaps, such as when an existing IT support contract does not cover meeting room technology support.

Having someone on hand to launch audiovisual meetings quickly saves time and makes the best use of your technology investment, as well as sparing the awkwardness suffered in front of colleagues, customers and suppliers when it goes wrong! In addition, providing everyone with the required day-to-day training increases their confidence in the technology.

We have successfully provide embedded, deskside resources to global organisations in their UK and Irish operations, and to smaller UK operations who do not need full-time assistance, but would benefit from a more bespoke arrangement.

Training

Our AV support team is on hand to help everyone get the most out of your investment in audiovisual technology. Of course, our sales engineers and installation team will always make sure you are shown how to operate and support the systems you buy – in addition, we can also offer enhanced, bespoke training to meet your individual needs.

This could mean creating ‘quick-start’ guides, working with your own training and marketing teams to ensure brand alignment if required, creating training videos for your own online training repository, or delivering in-person events at your site, covering the subjects you want.

We deliver training for many of our customers, from training a marketing department on a specific digital signage technology to keep content up-to-date and relevant, through to teaching faculty staff about the possibilities of a new university teaching space.

Installation and Break-Fix

Our UK and Ireland-wide teams help with many AV rollouts to distributed AV operations, taking on planning, communications, configuration, installation, training and asset disposal.

We have worked successfully on such projects for both global and large UK organisations, including rollouts such as digital signage in supermarkets, Teams meeting rooms in government agencies, interactive displays in visitor attractions, lighting and projection effects, and large-scale display replacements in schools and colleges.

In addition, our teams around the UK and Ireland can respond quickly to break-fix incidents, using our logistics network to be able to meet agreed SLAs for break-fix on AV equipment such as PCs, displays, cameras, microphones, interactives and more.
