Design, Procurement and Installation of Six Teams Rooms for Sapphire Balconies

Sapphire Balconies have sought out Pacific to continue our working relationship by designing, procuring and installing 6x videoconferencing spaces, including their flagship boardroom.
Having supplied the existing videoconferencing hardware a number of years before, our internal technical team already had an understanding of the business’s requirements as Sapphire sought to pivot from dedicated Zoom Rooms to Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTRs).
Over the intervening years between our original supply of the Zoom Rooms, we have continued to support Sapphire and begun to introduce Yealink within their existing technological ecosystem. With this in mind, we decided to supply a fully Yealink solution across all of the spaces. This approach will allow for a uniform approach to technology within space, empowering users through familiarity.

The Solution:
Due to the size of the boardroom, a large-size Teams room kit was required. We utilised Yealink’s MVC860 kit as a starting point, which consists of a dual-lens, 4K, PTZ camera with AI enhancements, such as speaker tracking and auto-framing. Also included are a dedicated MTR PC, a 10.1” room controller and room sensor to feedback room usage and occupancy data, via Yealink’s Cloud-based Device Management Platform. Our internal tech team worked in collaboration with Yealink to specify the inclusion of a single, ceiling mounted CM50 beamform array microphone, a pair of ceiling-mounted CM20 ceiling speakers ensuring a clear and clutter-free work space for Sapphire employees. Powering the solution is Yealink’s AP08 DSP.

Continuing the familiarity theme, the remaining meeting spaces all feature the A30 all-in-one videoconferencing soundbar. Like the boardroom, this technology allows for all hardware to be mounted on the wall, with the exception of the 8” in-room controller, again providing a clear and professional finish to the spaces.
All six of the spaces were finished with Yealink’s 8” room booking panel. This allow staff to quickly and clearly view the current and upcoming availability of the spaces and utilise them appropriately, thanks to their clear display and coloured LED lighting around the panel.
