Social Value & Pacific – Giving Back to Our Community

As an ISO 26000-aligned audio visual supply and installation company, Pacific are always seeking new ways to benefit our community. Through investment in projects that matter to our customers, as well as those that align closely with our own company values, Pacific has been able to make a difference where it matters.

What’s more, Pacific has also been able to link our social value initiatives to our environmental objectives including waste reduction, benefiting both the community and the planet.

Our social value efforts are always at the forefront of our agenda, as we look to partner with both our public and private sector clients to deliver tangible benefits to worthwhile causes. Here are some of the social value projects that Pacific is proud to have recently been a part of:

New Training Kit for Streets Ahead / New Street Football Club:

Based in Andover, Hampshire, Streets Ahead are part of the New Street Football Club and specialise in providing football training to children and adults with disabilities. As soon as we became aware of Streets Ahead and the fantastic work they do, we were very keen to help them in any way that we could.

After liaising with their incredible manager, Alex Lamb, we established that Streets Ahead would benefit from a new training kit, as well as 50 boot bags for all of their league players. We were thrilled to be able to supply this for them.

In addition, we were able to assist New Street Football Club with their failing audio system. After performing some diagnostics, we were able to determine that New Street were missing an amp, and we therefore loaned and installed this for them as soon as possible. The audio system is used for both events in the clubhouse and externally with the announcement of starting lineups for New Street and the away teams, so ensuring that this was functional offered multiple benefits for the club.

VR Headsets for Queen Mary’s College:

Pacific were fortunate enough to be able to donate two Lenovo Explorer VR Headsets to the Media Department at Queen Mary’s College in Basingstoke.

The students had been making 3D games, but had not been able to create VR games as they did not have the means to test them. Thanks to Pacific’s donation, this was made possible, and the students were excited to use the headsets within their media coursework, where they design and create games using Unreal Engine. Meanwhile, the Media teaching staff were excited to be able to offer a new path for the students to explore.

PCs for Friern Barnet Community-Run Library:

Friern Barnet community-run library previously had old, worn-out hardware that desperately needed replacing. Pacific were able to donate three PCs to the library, which we also delivered and set up so that they were ready for library users.

New Kit for Camborne School of Mines (CSM):

Pacific are chief sponsors of Camborne School of Mines (CSM) football team committee, comprising Exeter, Falmouth and CSM students and one of the oldest football teams in Cornwall, having started playing over 125 years ago.

Through our sponsorship, we are proud to have been able to provide CSM football team with two new football kits.

Whiteboards for Beechwood Junior School:

Pacific recently donated three whiteboards to Beechwood Junior School. As well as delivering and assembling the whiteboards, we also took the packaging away with us to minimise disruption and waste at the school.

Cricket Tops for Enfield Cricket Club:

As sponsors of Enfield Cricket Club Boys and Girls, Pacific were thrilled to be able to provide the club with 53 brand new cricket tops, complete with Pacific branding.

Sponsorship of George Kay Racing:

We at Pacific are delighted to continue our sponsorship of George Kay Racing. Supporting young talent like George is not only a privilege, but a reflection of our commitment to dedication, performance, and ambition.

George has had an outstanding start to the year. His performances at MSUK Fulbeck have been consistently impressive: in January, he claimed 1st, 2nd, and 1st in the heats, finishing 3rd in the final; in February, he followed up with a solid 4th, 3rd, and 6th in the heats, again finishing 3rd in the final. March saw even more progress, ending with a fantastic 2nd place final finish, and in April, George stormed to 1st in the final after strong heat results.

These successes earned him the title of 2025 Fulbeck Junior Winter Warmer Champion. He now leads the Fulbeck 2025 Junior Championship and is aiming to be crowned overall champion by year’s end.

Beyond Fulbeck, George is taking on the national stage in the NKC 2025 Summer Cup, racing against 76 of the UK’s best juniors, from Tyne and Wear to East Devon. We are backing him in his push for a top 10 finish.

Go George!

Shoebox Appeal:

Pacific were able to donate 6 shoeboxes to the Samaritan’s Purse Shoebox Appeal, which contained clothing, toys and toiletries for children in need in time for the Christmas period. The shoeboxes Pacific donated became part of the 41,000 shoeboxes that were sent to Moldova, where they were distributed to children living in poverty who often lack even necessities. We were delighted to be able to get involved in this very special project and touched by the kindness of our staff who brought in personal donations for the shoeboxes.
